Las nominaciones a los premios Grammy 2024 ya están aquí, SZA lidera el grupo con 9 nominaciones. Phoebe Bridgers, cuyas siete nominaciones incluyen una parte para Boygenius, le sigue de cerca, junto con Victoria Monét y el productor Serban Ghenea. La ceremonia tendrá lugar el domingo 4 de febrero de 2024 en el Crypto.com Arena de Los Ángeles y se transmitirá por CBS y Paramount+.
Antes del programa de 2024, la Academia de la Grabación redujo las categorías de los Cuatro Grandes de 10 a ocho nominados, y este año se agregaron tres nuevas categorías: Mejor Álbum de Jazz Alternativo, Mejor Grabación de Baile Pop y Mejor Interpretación de Música Africana.
Los cuatro grandes ganadores del año pasado fueron Bonnie Raitt (Canción del año), Lizzo (Grabación del año), Samara Joy (Mejor Artista Nuevo) y Harry Styles Álbum del Año). Si bien no ganó en las categorías principales, Beyoncé hizo historia al establecer el récord de mayor cantidad de premios Grammy de todos los tiempos. La noche también incluyó victorias para Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Rosalía y Steve Lacy.
En las etapas iniciales de la votación de los Grammy de este año, se reveló que el álbum de Drake con 21 Savage Her Loss fue presentado para su consideración. Drake previamente retiró su música después de ser nominado a Certified Lover Boy y ha criticado a los Grammy en múltiples ocasiones.
